Jinhe Center for Economic Research, Xi’an Jiaotong University
Jinhe Center for Economic Research (JCER) was founded in 1997 by 2 American educated economists (Yusen Kwoh, Chicago, MA, 1978; Chuntien Hu, Princeton, PHD, 1986) in Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU). The center offers B.A, M.A. and PhD. degrees in economics with modern curriculum and teaching materials, and the current students number is almost 150. Existing faculties consist of 8 residents and over 30 visiting professors abroad.
Early this year the university held a groundbreaking ceremony for a 4500 acre new campus, and mandated JCER to hire 15-20 new faculty members from abroad over the next three years in an effort to bolster existing programs. Faculty positions available at all levels (Assistant, Associate and Full professors). English speakers are welcome also.
Jinhe Center has become an international renowned institution covering the research areas including but not limited to: Industrial organization, Regulation, Law & Economics, Welfare, Public finance, Games and information, Macroeconomics, Growth, and Money, Theoretical finance, General equilibrium, Mathematical economics, Optimal control, Pure trade theory , International finance, Econometrics, Bayesian statistics, Labor, Family and Health economics, Applied microeconomics
About Xi’an and Xi’an JiaoTong University
Xi’an is a major industrial and education hub in central China. It is major tourist destination of the world and designated as “City of History” by UNESCO, and was the starting point of the ancient “Silk Road”. The University originally was located in Shanghai and was moved to Xi’an in 1950s and is consistently ranked top 9th in China. It has extensive contacts with universities along the “Silk Road”. This sophisticated ancient capital is a perfect place to do academics and education.

Responsibilities and Requirements:
?PHD degree required.
?Teaching load of 3 courses (approximately 9 credits) each year, teaching can be conducted in English or Chinese.
?research and publication.
?Guiding PHD, Master and undergraduate students.
Compensation and Benefits
